This year, and on behalf of all our employees, Vaimo will be supporting the important work of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Most recently, the organisation has been playing a key role in helping with the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan which struck the Philippines on November 8th. This natural disaster has killed more than 5,000 people and displaced more than four million, wiping out homes, hospitals, and infrastructure. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been providing medical and mental health care, focusing on the most remote parts of the country, for the last three months in inflatable and tented hospitals and through mobile clinics, reaching isolated communities by air, land, and sea.
We are pleased to be donating 3700 euros to the charity in helping their efforts in the region and thank them for the great and brave work they are doing all over the world.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) translates to Doctors without Borders. It provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Its teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff – bound together by a charter. Its actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. It is a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation. MSF was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. Today, it is a worldwide movement of more than 42,000 people.
